The British was attempting to take over the Hudson River Valley. If successful, they would cut new England off from ALL the other colonies. Three groups of British were supposed to show at the Hudson but only one group showed, making that one group feel like LOSERS. Like FAILURES. Which they kind of were. That one British group got totally OWNED by the Americans, proving this EPIC British fail. -Carolyn Devers
